Crocheted Neuron

I'm slowly but surely branching out and attempting other body-related structures to crochet. This is a fun one to work up. It's pretty quick, and the dentrites are all done freeform, which is always fun to screw around with :-)

RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!

So remember that post a few weeks back where I decided I was going to live an alternative lifestyle as a zombie? Here's what that was actually for...

All special effects make up work was done by BloodPump Effects.

Small and Large Intestines

Did these as a custom order. The basics are the same was the ones I have in my shop, but I sewed them together as acurately as possible and gave the colon a little appendix.

Crocheted Small Intestine

Did you know the human body averages about 20 feet of small intestine? This is only five, but maybe I'll do a full size one someday.

Crocheted Pituitary Gland

I've decided to officially expand beyond the organs to explore other aspects of the body. Here we have a pituitary gland, which is located at the base of the brain.

I'm doing some smaller ones - glands, tonsils - which I think will become lil thank you gifts in with orders as time goes on. I always like to include a little extra, but I don't always have the time, and I need time in order to work up something cool.

Lots more new ones in the next few days... I want to do something with bones too. I'm thinking of making them hollow and doily like, maybe shaping them around a balloon or something. I have yet to work out the deets, so yay, lots to come!
